We have such a great diversity of pre-loved stall holders at the upcoming
A Plus Market Box Hill,
that it’s worthwhile introducing another.
Previously the bubbly Ayse was introduced, now here is the ever crafty Maureen!
Maureen recently reduced her work hours and wants to reduce her clothes store accordingly. Working part time has made more time for her hobbies cross stitch and dressmaking. Holding a monthly market stall selling her beautiful hand made children’s clothes, bags, cushions and cross stitch cards, Maureen is an old hat at markets.
Maureen has graciously answered a few questions so we get to know her and her fashion and what will be kitting out her pre-loved plus size fashion stall.
What’s your personal style?
I’m pretty conservative, but some may say it’s a bit left of centre, but its definitely my own!
What is your favourite fashion style of all time?
The thirties, Gatsby era. I love the head pieces they wore and beautiful lines of their dresses.
Do you prefer dressing for the colder or warmer months?
I much prefer the warmer months. There are much prettier styles available and lovely floral patterns.
Can you share your best fashion tip?
If it feels good, looks good [on you] then go with it.
What are you selling at A Plus Market?
I’m reducing the bulk of my work wear. However they are not classic business clothes. I have hardly worn shirts and skirts along with some evening dresses, evening jackets, day dresses, long line tops and lots, lots more!
Come and grab some of the bargains Maureen is serving up at A Plus Market. This Sunday the 29th of September at Box Hill Community Arts Centre, 10am-3pm, 470 Station Street, Box Hill.
