Unique and ethically produced plus size fashion are two things that A Plus Market loves.
If you do too, then you’ll also love Simply Christene.
Hope & Harvest is recognisable around the world for its sleek, urban and glamorous take on ‘desk to dinner’ essentials. But what their loyal buyers really appreciate, is the distinct pleasure that comes with wearing high quality garments that have been engineered for curves, by designers with curves.
For Hope & Harvest garments don’t just look good – they inspire confidence, are functional and comfortable. Yes… the ‘c’ word! Every woman feels good when she looks her best, which is why the team at Hope & Harvest implement their engineering expertise to create exceptional pieces with the highest grade quality and fit, as well as cutting edge design, to make you feel your best.
Buying Hope & Harvest pieces not only represents an investment in high quality fashion, you’ll find yourself reaching for them as your ‘go to’ wardrobe essentials time and time again.
The team behind Hope & Harvest love coming along to A Plus Market too, saying
“A Plus Market is a great opportunity to be involved with a positive community event. As a Melbourne designed and manufactured brand, Hope & Harvest is proud to be involved.”
“Being mostly an online business, being at A Plus gives the team a chance to meet with their customer base face to face. It gives the Hope & Harvest customers a chance to touch, try and buy the garments, and because it is a market- the stock is always reduced so it is a great chance to grab a designer piece for a bargain price.”
Elizabeth the brains and craftiness behind Rethreading describes her venture.
“Mostly I make upcycled plus size women’s clothing and art to wear. Sometimes I make other things. Making is an essential part of my daily life, and without it I go a little stir crazy.
My mantra is: “Begin where you are, use what you have”
I have a passion (sometimes unkindly referred to as an obsession) for textiles. So many lovely fabrics and so little time to play with them all.
I started to make my own clothing because I couldn’t find garments I wanted to wear in the shops – colour! pattern! design! fabric! beautiful things! – and now I want to share my sewing with others.
I love a good rummage through an op shop (or thrift shop, if you prefer), looking for treasures to re-use in my garments, but occasionally I am seduced by new fabric. Usually I work with upcycled textiles though sometimes a length of new fabric will inveigle its way into a piece.”
Crazy4Jeans is a local company that will be launching their plus size denim collection at A Plus Market!

The wide waist band with multi buttons offers extra support so it doesn’t rolls down and all come with beautiful embellishments!

Janice Gobey a visual artist who frustrated with her fashion options created Icelandic Blue’s.
Janice says ” I was really tired of the type of plus-size clothing available in our stores – badly fitting, poor quality and mostly horrible polyester.
I wanted to create a brand where the clothing fitted well, was comfortable to wear and made use of luxurious, mostly natural fibres.”
Most of the range is in silk, silk cotton and bamboo. The style is relaxed but smart.
Janice is also a traveller inspiring her range to be mixed and matched, saying “it is important to me that my range was also trans-seasonal, this leaves me more room in my suitcase for shopping!
Icelandic Blue is manufactured in Melbourne to the highest standards and is only available online and at select markets.
